Every newly approved California business, as a daily list.
The California Secretary of State publishes each new LLC and corporation in its public business search - one lookup at a time. The California SoS actor turns that into a list: run it daily and every run hands you the entities approved since the last one, without gaps or duplicates.
Share of 1,843 newly approved entities collected on 18 September 2026. Name reservations are excluded - they are not businesses.
"Filed today" lists do not exist in public data. Until the state approves a filing there is no public record - no name, no type, no agent. The freshest complete list public data allows is "approved since yesterday", and that is what a daily run gives you.
Not as a download. The California Secretary of State publishes every approved entity in its public business search, but the search is built for looking up one company at a time - it has no "everything filed yesterday" export. The actor's New filings mode produces that list from the same public records.
The state issues roughly 1,600 new entity numbers per calendar day (our measurement, September 2026). Not all become public records: some filings are rejected or withdrawn, and name reservations are not businesses. In a run covering several days we collected 1,843 newly approved entities.
A filing becomes public when the state approves it, typically one to three business days after it is submitted. Before approval there is no public record at all - so the freshest complete list anyone can build from public data is "approved since yesterday". Run the actor daily and each run continues where the last one stopped.
Entity name, entity number, entity type, status, standing, jurisdiction of formation, initial filing date and the registered agent's name, plus the source and the time it was read.
No. The state does not publish them, and we do not append them. Pair the list with your own enrichment if you need contact details.
These are public records and many businesses use them for B2B outreach. Your outreach still has to follow the rules that apply to you, such as CAN-SPAM for e-mail and the TCPA for calls and texts.
