Every Austrian company in your industry, as a list.
Austria's Chamber of Commerce keeps an official directory of more than 620,000 businesses, classified by trade and located by state and district. It can be searched but not exported. The WKO actor returns the companies in a trade and region as structured records - name, address, and the contact details each business chose to publish.
Sample: 200 of the 1,000 companies matching "IT-Dienstleistung" in Vienna. Records also carry state, postal code, trade licences and the link to the official directory entry.
A third with contact details is the honest number. Lists that promise an e-mail address for every Austrian company did not get them from the Chamber's directory. What you get here is the official record - complete on who exists and where, partial on how to reach them.
- →Market entry. Size a segment before you hire a salesperson: how many installers, dentists or logistics firms are there in each state?
- →Territory lists. Every business of one trade in one district, for field sales or direct mail.
- →Checking a bought list. Compare a broker's file against the official directory to see what is missing or out of date.
It is the official business directory of the Austrian Economic Chamber (Wirtschaftskammer Österreich). Membership is mandatory for most Austrian businesses, so the directory covers more than 620,000 companies, each classified by trade and located by state and district. It is searchable on the web but has no export and no API.
Yes - that is what the actor is for. Give it a trade (Branche) or search term and optionally a state or district, and it returns the matching businesses as structured records. "IT-Dienstleistung" in Vienna alone has 1,000 matches.
About a third. In a sample of 200 Viennese IT service companies measured on 18 September 2026, 32.5% listed an e-mail address, 31% a website and 30.5% a phone number; 99.5% had a postal address. Businesses choose what to publish, so the share varies by trade. We do not add contact details from other sources.
The directory is public and lists businesses, but Austrian law is strict about unsolicited electronic marketing: e-mail and phone outreach generally need prior consent under section 174 of the Telecommunications Act, and many entries are sole traders, whose details are personal data. Postal mail is treated more liberally. Check the rules for your channel before you use the list.
